Proposed Deck Extension and Enclosed Patio Structure in Apex, NC

RB Engineering, Inc. performed a structural evaluation of the proposed deck extension and enclosed patio for the subject residence.  We were asked to inspect the site and to design the structural elements of the proposed construction.  The following are pictures of the existing deck structure.

Existing:

Our client, the resident, plans to extend the deck structure approximately 14-feet to the left of the current structure, build a 12-feet by 14 1/2-feet enclosed patio, and relocate the stairway access to the front left of the structure.  RB Engineering, Inc. determined the proposed modifications and the new structural construction which must be completed to adequately support the proposed construction.  The following sketch was provided.
